ebara tomoe - stand by me - part 2 of 2

Summary: Sou is persistant but Tatsuru is still hesistant to give him an answer - what's holding him back, and does Sou have to resort to drastic measures?

I read the seme's first name wrong in the first chapter so I've included a v2 of part 1 in the zip.

  12. Thank you for translating!

Love the use of slang to stylize and represent Kansai-dialect. I appreciate when translators do this. It's already hard work to tell a comprehensive and contextualized story but to do so with slang and accents is more than admirable. I always hold that if the author makes specific language choices, translators should try to find a way to reflect it in the language they are translating to. Speech/dialogue is, in so many stories, a big part of character, and in this story particularly, the setting as well.

Truly appreciate your work. Much love and good luck in future projects.

    1. Hi! Thanks for reading!

I'm glad you enjoyed the localisation. This mangaka's work has featured Kansai dialect multiple times (she must live there) and it really does give her work a different 'tone' than the usual dialogue. Also, Tatsuru does initially speak more formally, so I wanted to subtly show how casual he'd become with Oohashi! I realise that some may find it harder to read, but I felt it was pretty important.

      Thanks again!
